First Blog(Men's Wearhouse)

Two weeks ago my brother and I, ventured into a Men's Warehouse in our home town in Illinois. I am getting married in December and I thought this would be a chance for my brother, who is my best man, and I to bond over the tux rental experience. Shortly after arriving to the suit store we were greeted by a disgruntled old man who looked disgusted with our mere presence. With a cheerful smile I said hello and stated our business. I explained to him that my brother and I attend different schools in different states and would not have a chance to do this together, or see each other in the suits till the wedding. I also explained to the gentlemen that my fiance also lives in Virgina and would not be with us that day. The man immediately stopped me right there and said "Then there is nothing i can do for you today". He did however have the time to fill out the paperwork with is commission code on it so that when we did rent a tux he would get his cut. this is the worst service I have ever received, especially since I had just finished telling him how much it meant to me to share this experience with my brother. After this we left vowing never to come back.

Why are weddings all about the bride? The Bride is truly important, but what about the groom. Why can't a groom go rent a tux with out a bride by his side? I had the color and I had explained that i just wanted to get an idea of what is available and what to look for later on. Men we need to be more involved in the wedding our brides to be want us to get more involved so why is it so hard? I admit that i don't really care about what shoes our bridesmaids wear, but i do care about what I wear. I think as grooms we need to be more involved and we need to play our role so that we do bot have more experiences like the one I had. Also stay away from Men's Warehouse unless your fiance has a firm grip around your balls otherwise they will rudely turn you away.
